MovingGMA is an experimental documentary based on a video diary. It explores issues of intergenerational relationships, memories and material possessions and their implications for the future. The original video diary was shot secretly in 2005 and was rediscovered in 2018. The music is compiled from old 78 rpm recordings found in my grandmother’s home, as well as a tape recording of her singing. Images are processed to morph and slide into each other, much as memories vary over time. It is a piece full of vulnerabilities on all sides.
