​Motion Pictures is a series of video cinemagraphs.  Though this phrase may seem redundant, these pieces are not literally cinemagraphs, where a still image is modestly animated. In these images, video and stills are interwoven, with a contrast between the “mediated image” being held by a still hand and the scene in front of the camera which also juxtaposes still and moving  images.  This series is directly related to the concept of mediation of our surroundings, our experience of the natural world and touristic locations coming through a plethora of glass darkly.
